tree planting with the conservation volunteers
Get involved with the expansion of the tree nursery as part of your school visit in November 2024 and February 2025.
At Ulster Folk Museum, we are hard at work restoring the ancient woodlands on our site. Part of this process is the removal of invasive plant species, but we also need to begin growing native species to replace them. This is where your class can get involved.
Working with The Conservation Volunteers is an opportunity for your class to learn about native trees. They will also learn about the importance of tree nurseries, whilst planting seeds. These seeds will grow into trees that will one day replenish native woodland on site.
