Join our traditional St Patrick's Day celebrations on 17th March and 18th March! 

Watch Irish dancers, listen to traditional music and hear folklore tales this St Patrick's Day at the museum. There'll be a craft station to get involved in, demonstrations by our talented makers and traditional food and drink to taste including fresh champ cooked over the open fire. Stop by McCusker's fully-licenced pub (please drink responsibly) before you leave and bring a shamrock home with you (while stock lasts). 

You're also in for a treat in the Tearoom, where there will be a special St Patrick's Day themed menu of:

  • Potato & leek soup and Irish stew, both served with Guinness soda bread
  • Champ potato farl Stack
  • Homemade traditional potato farls made with champ stacked with bacon, sausage & fried egg
  • Steak & Guinness Pie with colcannon & gravy
  • Pork sausages with colcannon and gravy

  • Suitable for all ages. 
  • Our St Patrick's Day celebrations will take place from 10:00 to 17:00 over the March Bank Holiday (17th & 18th March 2024).
