Please note, this event has now passed.
For European Heritage Open Days, get behind the scenes at the Ulster Folk Museum, and discover the work that goes on to maintain and conserve our unique collections of buildings.
Join our Built Heritage and Capital Projects Manager, Katherine McClean, for a special guided tour exploring the important work that goes on, and the challenges that are faced, when looking after these buildings.
The majority of the buildings in our collection were moved from their original location and rebuilt on site as early as the 1960s - some of the buildings date as far back as the mid 1700s!
Look at fascinating examples of heritage building techniques such as thatching and lime parging, see conservation work in action and get a behind the scenes look into buildings that the public don't normally get to access!
