Trees have been part of human consciousness since we encountered our first sapling. They've become part of our history, folklore and mythology, and to this day inspire workers, artists and scientists alike.

In this guided walk celebrating and exploring native Irish trees, The Conservation Volunteers will take you on a tour of the Ulster Folk Museum site which is rich with flora and wildlife. Learn about the folklore associated with our native trees, how to identify them and discover the relationship humans have had with trees in Ireland. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit The Conversation Volunteers tree nursey at the museum and hear about the inspirational work they are doing to preserve and revitalise native trees.
